We are seeking a highly analytical and driven Project Controls Manager to join our leadership team in Lawrenceville.
The Role
As the Project Controls Manager, you will be the primary architect of our project’s financial integrity and data management. You will lead the development, implementation, and management of project control systems to ensure that our multi-million dollar projects remain on schedule and within budget. This is a critical role that bridges the gap between field execution and executive oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Scheduling Excellence: Lead the development and maintenance of integrated master schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring all logic, constraints, and milestones are accurately reflected.
- Cost Management: Oversee project budgeting, forecasting, and change management. Monitor actual costs against planned budgets to identify and mitigate variances.
- Earned Value Management (EVM): Implement and manage EVM systems to provide objective measurements of project performance and progress.
- Reporting & Analysis: Generate comprehensive weekly and monthly reports for executive leadership and stakeholders, highlighting KPIs, critical path analysis, and risk registers.
- Organizational Alignment: Document control strategy and implementation. Contract process strategy and implementation.
- Risk Mitigation: Facilitate risk assessment workshops and maintain the project risk matrix, developing contingency plans for potential cost and schedule impacts.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with Project Managers, Estimators, and Executive Management to ensure data integrity and alignment across the organization.
Qualifications
- Experience: Desired 4+ years of experience in project controls, with a strong background in financial management, reporting, data analytics, software interface.
- Technical Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, and modeling). Experience with ERP systems is highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Economics, Physics, or a related field.
