MEP Project Superintendent
- The MEP Project Superintendent supervises our subcontractors and is responsible to control MEP work in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with JJS Construction Procedures.
- Ensuring adherence to JJS Safety Procedures.
- Controlling, coordinating and supervising all MEP work and MEP field personnel on site.
- Conducting JSAs with MEP subcontractors prior to work being performed.
- Conducting regular meetings with MEP subcontractor foremen to coordinate site operations.
- Producing a daily report and taking photos that records field conditions, number of field forces, subcontractors, visitors, deliveries, delays, equipment, inspections, and schedule progress for MEP work.
- Directing all MEP personnel and subcontractors to achieve completion of the project on schedule and within budget while ensuring the quality of the project and safety of the workers.
- Coordinating material orders as required.
- Coordinating, participating in and recording MEP inspections.
- Understanding the project’s plans, specifications, approved submittals, & RFIs.
- Understanding the contract scope of each MEP subcontractor.
- Identifying and developing RFI’s with subcontractors, in coordination with FP and MEP PM.
- Ensuring all MEP work is constructed in accordance with the approved design, specifications, and submittals.
- Verifying as-built drawings are being maintained by the MEP subcontractors.
- Enforcing the housekeeping policy and performing a final walk down of the site at the end of each day.
- Accepting material deliveries and notifying quality manager for inspection.
- Routing all tickets to management.
- Reviewing installed work for adherence to design and industry standards.
- Maintaining a working/complete list and producing MEP punch lists and tracking individual items to completion.
- Recording daily schedule progress for weekly update.
Qualifications:
- 10 years M/P construction management, trade experience
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Procore experience preferred
