DCO Energy, LLC seeking a HVAC Mechanical Engineer
DCO Energy LLC (DCO) is seeking a dynamic HVAC Mechanical Engineer with commercial and education institutional design experience and excellent communications skills for their Engineering Team in the Mays Landing, New Jersey office.
DCO is a vertically-integrated energy solutions company specializing in the development, design-build, operations, maintenance and ownership of facilities that provide electrical and/or thermal energy from landfill gas, biogas, photovoltaic, central energy, combined cycle, combined heat and power (CHP) and commercial and educational institutions MEP engineering and design services.
Following are the role and responsibilities for this position:
- Apply knowledge in the design of HVAC systems for commercial and educational institutions, including ability to perform load calculations, size and select HVAC equipment, and develop HVAC system arrangements.
- Interact with all engineering disciplines, construction project managers, and clients.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Provide project development/ conceptual engineering support to the Business Development team for qualification submittals, cost estimates, bids, proposals and presentations.
- Perform HVAC engineering and design, including preparation of drawings and specifications, procurement and bid evaluations of HVAC equipment and systems required to support EPC contracts.
- Provide insight, guidance, technical review and approval of project documents and submittals.
Prerequisites and Qualifications Requirements:
- 10 years work experience in commercial and educational HVAC design related projects.
- Engineering, design and equipment experience in the following:
- Commercial boiler, chiller and HVAC systems
- Building Automation Controls interface
- HVAC system installation, startup, testing and commissioning.
- Professional Engineer registration is highly desirable.
- Proficiency using AutoCAD for P&IDs and basic manipulation of plant layouts is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in TraneTrace3D or other HVAC calculating software is highly desirable.
